About Life Without Barriers

Breaking down barriers, changing lives

Life Without Barriers is an organisation with a clear mission: to create a world where every person can live a life free of barriers that impede their rights and opportunities. Established 25 years ago this not-for-profit agency is committed to tackling, disrupting and dismantling the obstacles that are faced by vulnerable Australians – including children.

To support the best possible outcomes for children and young people in out of home care, Life Without Barriers are implementing an evidence informed, therapeutic model of care that is grounded by the six principles of CARE: Creating Conditions for Change.

Their impact is not limited to direct support; they strive to influence systemic barriers and create a ripple effect that extends to future generations. By partnering with people and fostering a culture of courage, innovation, and responsiveness, Life Without Barriers is resolute in its purpose of changing lives for the better.
