Their Futures Matter: A new approach is an independent review of the out of home care system in NSW. The review was commissioned in response to the growth of the out of home care population and continuing poor outcomes for the most vulnerable children and families.

The Centre for Excellence in Child and Family Welfare, Victoria’s peak body, calls on the Victorian Government to raise the age of criminal responsibility to at least 14 years of age, and take a leading role in advocating for this change Australia-wide through their input into the Council of Attorneys-General review process.
